There was an overwhelming response to Namma Bengaluru Awards '09, held to honour those who make a difference to our city at Bengaluru Palace Grounds on February 27th, 2010.

Namma Bengaluru Awards '09 is an initiative by the Namma Bengaluru Foundation to thank ordinary citizens for their extraordinary contributions to the city.

The Awards for the year 2009 was conferred by His Excellency the Governor of Karnataka, Shri H. R. Bharadwaj & Honourable Chief Minister of Karnataka, Shri B. S. Yeddyurappa along with Member of Parliament and Chairman of the Jury of Namma Bengaluru Awards, Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar, over a glittering ceremony.

Several dignitaries, Celebrities and Corporates from all over Bengaluru were present. The evening was a glittering event of music and dance. Artists like Nrithyarutya, Karthik Mani & Sai Babu and Swedish Carnatic singer Nikalas performed along with a sandalwood medley created by actors Sharmila Mandre and Yogi.
