He has helped school drop-outs and helps develop school infrastructure, etc. Though not a practicing Neuro surgeon, he practices and heals people from rural areas. More than 1500 spinal injury patients have been treated by Ashis. More than 1000 critical brain-stroke patients and more than 10,000 neuro-surgical procedures in rural Karnataka have taken place under his guidance.
2SUDARSHAN BALLAL DR Mr. Ballal is the Director, Prof. medicine, Chairman -Medical advisory board, Manipal Health Systems. The hospital provides world class treatment at an affordable fee. He provides selfless service and heals poor patients, free of cost and many from an economically weak background have been treated by Mr. Ballal.
3ADELE KORAH Sr. Adele Korah provides counseling to prisoners, admits the prisoner’s children in a residential school. She emotionally supports and uplifts the spirit on the inmates and is compassionate. Thus helps to rehabilitate the released prisoners.
4ZAFAR FUTEHALLY In 1987, along with a few enlightened citizens, Zafar started the Bangalore Environmental Trust with the objective to achieve and consolidate the rightful position of the public in general to the services to which they are entitled as citizens. He started the conservation movement, with no recognition. He was the Honorary Secretary of Bombay Natural History Society, a leading organization in Asia, for the conservation of the environment in India.
5VATSALA PRABHU Ms. Vatsala is a woman entrepreneur. She has founded Vanita Seva Mandir school and is also the Founder of ASHADEEP, which provides education to children who are mentally challenged and works for their betterment. She started Vanita Seva Mandir school, which provides education to thousands of children.
6MITHRANAND TIMMAPPA NAIK Mr. Naik is a retired DCP – Traffic, and is currently the chief traffic warden. He has successfully educated lakhs of school children and inculcated awareness and knowledge about road safety. Even after his retirement, Mr. Naik has continued to contribute to the society by working as the chief traffic warden.
7MAHADEVA He is responsible for taking care of bodies which are uncared for and cremates them. So far, he has created more than 42,000 bodies. He ensures to spend on cremating them the right way, with all the rituals before the cremation.
8CHONIRA M. THIMMAIAH He has fought for the pension for freedom fighters and ex- servicemen, and for a medical scheme for ex- servicemen. He has also fought for the reservation of SC/ST students.

3Rain Water Club Mr Vishwanath (heads the club) is very committed worker, has organized many camps, educates students about rain water harvesting, recharging the well, bore well – re use of water etc. One of the best brains in Bengaluru connected to water engineering.
4Citizen Matters Web Portal with more than 33 thousand online visitors - One of the leading Web Portal (citizen oriented news publication) which writes about Bangalore and its development. Thus keeping people of the city informed.
5SIKSHANA BANGALORE Sikshana is the largest intervention for nurturing Government Schools in the State with about 250 schools and 35,000 students. They adopt, empower and improve government schools. They adopt modern training methods to train the teachers and to improve the government schools. The main aim of the organization is to assist in low cost environmental upgrades, deploy available resources on motivational efforts, concentrating on core essentials and avoiding frills, and improve efficiency and effectiveness by applying management concepts in government schools. They provide technology inputs like PCs and multimedia content to government schools. Sikshana runs the largest non-Govt scholarship program in the State, with a coverage that is expected to reach out to 1000 students by June 10.
6BELAKU TRUST They have a free old age home for women and an orphanage home (schooling is taken care of). They initially started out as a research programme in the area of Women and Children's health and Nutrition. Over a period of time, they decided that other factors like income generation, medical problems, etc needed to be focused on. The objectives are to promote village level health and development, and to promote research on healthcare practices, to disseminate the findings from the research to appropriate policy and decision making authorities, to collaborate with existing service providers and organization, rather than duplicate services.
7INTACH BANGALORE Creating awareness on Bangalore Heritage, Listing of Heritage sites, Conservation of heritage, Organizing the Heritage Walks for all (at very low cost or free many times). Dedicated NGO, do not get any grants from either State or Central Government.
8SPARSH VACHANA Is a voluntary organization providing sophisticated, cutting edge treatment to the needy children from humble backgrounds requiring orthopedic intervention to lead normal lives. It is carried out free of cost. It was started in 2006. More than 200 major surgeries have been conducted.
9SHRSHTI SHAKTI UNIT Imparts vocational training to women for free. They provide financial support to women to start their own ventures.

2RAMESH S T ADDITIONAL DIRECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE, a Professional with Integrity, moral and ethical of functioning and being very responsive. Ramesh introduced AIDS awareness training as part of the recruitment training process. He is known for his reforms in prisons.
3SOMASHEKHAR Somashekhar is the Head Constable at Nandini Layout police station. He has actively participated in capturing the culprits of the triple murder case which occurred recently in Bengaluru, though the case wasn't under his jurisdiction, showing extreme responsiveness and dedication and in ensuring Justice prevails.
4KRISHNA PRAKASH T.S He is a fingerprint expert in the Commissioner's office. With his assistance and focus, The Bangalore police has been able to solve more than 265 cases. He has the distinction of having solved the highest number of cases in the year 2008. Krishna has been awarded the CM’s medal for his performance and dedication to work.

2BBMP - Zero Garbage They have introduced the Zero Garbage pilot project in Gandhinagar. The concept of having a Zero Garbage Zone demands immense responsibility from the BBMP, and BBMP has been successful in doing so, thus leading to replication of the idea in many other areas of Bengaluru. The initiative was started in early 2009, thus spreading the message of "Clean City" as Bengaluru is known to be the Green City. Zero Garbage Zone also promotes cleaner and healthier environment with no fear of Diseases speard through Garbage and clutter.
3BANGALORE ONE B1 redefines public service through its focus on the common man. The vision of the B1 Project is "to provide citizens of Karnataka all G2C and G2B One-Stop services and information of departments and agencies of Central, State and Local Governments in an efficient, reliable, transparent and integrated manner, and easy access through a chain of computerized Integrated Citizen Service Centers (ICSC's) and through multiple delivery channels like Electronic Kiosks, mobile phones and the Internet.
4BMTC BMTC came into existence in 1997, with the sole purpose of providing public transportation within the city and suburban areas in Bengaluru. The mission of the organization is to provide safe, reliable, clean and an affordable travel experience to Citizens. More than 4 million commuters ferry in BMTC buses every day. BMTC comprises of a fleet of over 5,593 buses covering an area with a radius of 36kms from the city's center.
5GOVT.HIGH SCHOOL- KADABAGERE For the past 23 years, this government high school has remarkably excelled in terms of Social awareness, stressing on the importance of socio- cultural activities and in bringing awareness among children.
